Things to do – gardening and gardens to enjoy

Next week is National Allotments week and this has inspired our Comms team to share ideas for gardening and gardens that can be visited.

The National Trust has many properties with gardens and grounds to explore in our area. These include more formal gardens such as Biddulph Grange Garden near Congleton or how about a woodland walk at Attingham Park near Shrewsbury. Visits need to be booked in advance, please check the National Trust website for the latest ticket and booking information.

Regular visitors to the Wrekin website will have already seen that we are set to feature in the new virtual Shrewsbury Flower Show taking place on 14/15 August.

For those staying closer to home and working in their own garden, BBC Gardeners World have shared some gardening jobs for August on their website. There is also a section on advice and gardening for beginners.
