Take time out for hobbies

This week our things to do focus, is all about hobbies. There are many advantages to having a hobby including providing down time from work life and for relaxation.

Whether it’s learning something new or going back to hobbies you enjoyed in the past, there are lots of ideas to try. Here are some suggestions from our Communications team:

Learn to play chess, read a good book or complete a daily crossword challenge.

Get crafting by crocheting a sun hat or making your own Macrame keyring. Hand crafted items that include a personal touch are ideal for presents and gifts. Hobbycraft have a selection of craft ideas suitable for all skill levels, so why not give it a go!

You can put pen to paper and learn the art of calligraphy, try origami or have a go at sketching. You could even enter our 2021 calendar art competition, more details here.

For those who want to get active, why not try Pilates or Yoga. Yoga with Adrienne is available via YouTube and includes both long and short sessions, depending on how much time you have in your day.

Our Communications team have been posting ideas for things to do at home and you can view the previous articles here.
