Starts at Home day 2019

Today is Starts at Home day; a national celebration dedicated to celebrating supported housing and recognising that in order to live independently and happily; a decent home is needed.

To show our support, we'll be sharing stories on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day about people who live and work in our Retirement Living and ShireLiving schemes.

We want to continue to show how valuable supported housing is and the positive impact that it has on thousands of lives.

Graham, 77, moved into a Wrekin Retirement Living apartment two months ago after becoming homeless. He told us: "I've no idea where I would be without my new home".

This aim of Starts at Home is simple, it's a day of action to ensure that people who need extra support will always have a safe home that meets their needs.
