Shared Ownership is a way of helping people who cannot afford to purchase a property outright on the open market.

The scheme is available to a range of people, who can purchase a share of the property and pay rent on the remaining share.

Shared Ownership is a form of deferred purchase that allows you to buy 50% of a property whilst paying rent to The Wrekin Housing Trust for the remaining 50% of the property.

Once you have lived in the property for a year then you can buy further shares and own a higher percentage of your home, usually up to 75%.

You do not have to share your home with anybody other than your own family/household.
