Where It All Started …

The idea for the garden was first put forward in 2007 when local residents and Queenswood Primary School asked if the Trust could help in tackling problems associated with the land on the corner of Fourth and Sixth Avenue

At the time, the land was unused and because of this anti-social behaviour was a problem.
Having secured funding for the project, the Trust worked with children in years 5 and 6 from Queenswood School, local community members and key partner agencies to bring about a substantial and dramatic visual change to the area.

There is now a community group who have taken on some of the maintenance and planting work in the garden. They work closely with the Ketley Bank Residents Association to help secure the long-term future of the garden.

The garden is financed by fundraising, donations and grant funding so it's really important that everyone helps out in any way that they can.
