Make some time
Once you take time to work out your regular budget, it only takes a few minutes every week to review it. Find the time and keep control of your money.
Your income and what you spend
Note down the income you receive; whether it's wages, benefits, tax credits or from another source.
Make a list of all of the things you pay for on a weekly or monthly basis. Be realistic, and don't forget things like car tax that you might only pay for once a year. If you can't think of everything, keep a diary, or make a note on your phone for a few weeks, of everything you spend.
