Regeneration

Painting a mural

Partnership working is an important part of what we do. The very nature of the housing sector means that many organisations have to work together on a regular basis such as the police, welfare benefits advisors and the Primary Care Trust. The Trust is no different and partnership working allows us to provide more for our tenants by delivering more services.

Our regeneration work regularly involves working with other organisations. Recently we have worked with the following organisations and groups on regeneration initiatives.

  • Wellington Youth Engagement Group - This includes 3 Telford & Wrekin Council departments, Connexions 4 Youth and NACRO.  This was formed in January to look at addressing low-level crime, anti-social behaviour, under-age drinking and sexual health issues amongst teenagers on 2 large estates in Wellington.
  • Great Dawley Parish Council via The Dawley Regeneration Partnership Action Plan and consultancy services
  • Ladygrove and Dawley C of E primary schools - wall mural
  • Brookside Partnership - ASB prevention project and taking part in the partnership activities and plans
  • Telford & Wrekin Council - youth projects and strategic work on funding, regeneration of Borough Towns, The Regeneration Forum, a potential highways alteration scheme
  • Oakengates Regeneration Partnership on project proposals
  • AUniqueArt company on a legal wall project and 2 murals
  • Shropshire and Telford Education and Business Partnership on work experience programmes and training
  • Live/Work Network on research for business hubs and potential Live/Work units in the Borough
  • West Mercia Police on a cross border crime and ASB project; youth diversionary activities to prevent ASB; training for new officers on regeneration and links with crime and ASB
  • Age Concern on information about inter-generation initiatives
