Len began his working life as an apprentice at the mumitions factory in Radway Greet.  He joined the Army and served 22 years as an Ammunition Technician and achieved the rank of warrant officer.  After leaving the army Len worked as a foreman for Posting Engineering and was involved with major projects which included the Manchester Ship Canal. 

Recently Len has worked voluntarily for the Ironbridge Gorge Museum together with being the Chair of the Tenants Panel at the Wrekin Housing Trust.  He is board member of the Wrekin Housing Trust, Audit & Risk Management Committee, Continuous Improvement Working Group and Major Contracts & Partnering.
