Our team of experienced Welfare Benefit Advisors offer a free and confidential service giving you support and advice to make sure that you are claiming everything that you are entitled to.

They are also available to offer help if you are being asked to repay a Housing Benefit overpayment that you are unsure about.

Our advisors can see you at your local Trust shop or office or arrange to visit you at home. Examples of some of the benefits available include:

Housing Benefit
Help with paying your rent if you receive a low income. Our landlord verification service can help you with the application process.

Council Tax Benefit
Help with paying your Council Tax – you’ll be considered for this if you already claim Housing Benefit.

Discretionary Housing Payments
Help with your housing costs, usually awarded in exceptional circumstances to top up your Housing and Council Tax Benefits.

Tax Credits
Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits help to support families with children and working people on low incomes.

Pension Credits
Help for people over the age of 60.

Disability Benefits
Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or help with equipment, prescriptions and hospital travel.

Income Support
Available to those aged between 16 and 60 not working, on a low income or working less than 16 hours a week.
