Resident involvement statement
The Wrekin Housing Trust wants you to get involved in the management of your home and neighbourhood in which you live so that we can provide a better service and a service that you want and value. Our residents are anyone living in our properties including tenants, leaseholders and shared owners. The Trust believes that involvement should be at the heart of everything we do as we strive for excellence and continuous improvement in our service delivery.
This statement sets out the Trust's commitment to involving its residents.
1. We recognise your legal right to be consulted and we will continue to develop a greater variety of ways to encourage you to get involved in the development and improvement of our services.
2. We will always consult you about any plans we may have to improve your home and the area in which you live.
3. We will develop and use a variety of involvement and consultation methods to include as many residents as possible in reviewing and improving our services.
4. We will ask you at regular intervals how you wish to be involved and whether or not there are any changes we should make to our consultation and involvement methods.
5. We will offer support and training to tenant groups, local panels, tenant representatives and individuals so that they are able to participate fully.
6. We will provide information to residents that is accurate, timely and relevant so that you can make genuine choices.
7. The Wrekin Housing Trust and residents will work together to ensure equality of opportunity in resident involvement.
