Hall Barn is located in the Madeley area of Telford and has 35 self-contained properties consisting of:

  • Hall Barn Close - A mix of 23, one or two bedroom external flats 
  • Coach House – 4 internal one bedroom flats 
  • Old Hall – 8 internal one bedroom flats

Old Hall is a Grade 11 listed building within a conservation area and still maintains many of its' original features.

  • Communal room - this is a short walking distance from all properties. Tenants are able to socialise with each other here. 
  • Lounge / Dining Area
  • Kitchen / Laundry

Communal Garden
There are open plan landscaped areas around the sheltered scheme which are maintained by the Wrekin Housing Trust's Grounds Maintenance Team.
Within the scheme there is an allotment area for those tenants wishing to maintain an interest in gardening.

Pets
Tenants living in an internal flat are not allowed to keep cats and dogs, unless it is a service dog to justify a service dog is a type of assistance dog specifically trained to help people who have a disability including visual or hearing impairment).
Tenants are allowed to keep pets such as a fish or a small caged bird.

Hall Barn is close to Madeley Centre and is in walking distance for tenants who have full mobility. Local facilities include:

Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site is also nearby.

Scheme Manager
The Scheme Manager role is to:

  • Offer support and guidance to enable independent living.
  • Complete support plans to assess individual needs
  • Organise and facilitate social activities on and off the sheltered housing scheme.
  • Provide "The Trust on your doorstep" to help with housing matters.

Fire Safety
All sheltered housing properties are fitted with a smoke detection system, which is linked to the emergency alarm and would automatically trigger an alarm call to the visiting Scheme Manager when on duty or go through to the 24 hours emergency alarm call receiving centre.

It is recommended that tenants test the smoke alarm monthly basis.

The tenant's fire safety leaflet is available and will be issued to each tenant during the sign up process.
