Ben Bowden and Leanne Hines, who are 22 and 20, have moved to Pool View Court on the Dothill development and will be spending a very happy Christmas together in their new home, a two-bedroom apartment. Ben said: "This is our first home together and we are really pleased with our new flat. It's a great development, with the lake right next to us and close to everything we need. We're really looking forward to being in our new place over Christmas."

Homes have been handed to the Trust in phases by the developer Frank Haslam Milan and more are due to become available in the New Year. There are also some homes for sale on the popular site.

All of the homes are modern, high-quality, spacious and eco-friendly, also built to the Lifetime Homes standard, which means that houses have to be easily adapted for people with different needs in the future.

One of the apartment blocks has even been refurbished rather than being demolished and rebuilt, due to a colony of bats that use the top of the block as their home.

Another happy new tenant who has recently moved to one of the new properties at Dothill is Rachel Evans, who has moved from Wellington to be closer to her son's school, Dothill Primary. Rachel has moved to a two-bedroom house and is thrilled with her new home. She said: "This is the ideal place for me, within walking distance of school and on a lovely site. The house is great, spacious, light and airy and we can't wait to get settled in here."
