Trust recognised for excellence

The Wrekin Housing Trust has been declared one the best organisations in the Midlands with a nomination in the 2010 Midlands Excellence Awards.
The Trust, Shropshire's largest landlord, was a finalist in the large business category at the prestigious ceremony held at the ICC Birmingham on Thursday 21st January 2010.
Olympic athlete James Cracknell was guest of honour at the ceremony, which is the largest event of its type in Europe and a firm favourite with organisations serious about achieving and celebrating success.
In their submission for the award, staff at the Trust detailed how their strong vision and values help the organisation be committed to continuous improvement. The Trust's focus on stakeholder engagement, customer involvement, staff training and developing successful partnerships is all part of its continued strive for excellence.
Bob Floyd, Chair of The Wrekin Housing Trust says: "The Trust has found real value in working with Midlands Excellence. It has helped us to focus our business and continue to make a real improvement to the lives of our customers. It has also had a positive impact on the local communities we work in and the partners we work with."
The Wrekin Housing Trust has recently achieved the prestigious Investors in Excellence standard which measures performance excellence and continuous improvement.
