Community to be asked for their ideas…
31 October 2008
A 'drop in session' was held at Queenswood School, Ketley Bank on Wednesday 5 November to discuss proposals for a new community garden to be created on the corner of Fourth and Sixth Avenues.
Children and staff at Queenswood School have already met with Trust officers to discuss the children's proposals for the garden, with both the school and The Trust being very keen to involve the wider community.
Representatives from The Wrekin Housing Trust and teachers and children from Queenswood School would like local people to come forward with their ideas and feedback on creating a community garden on a currently heavily littered piece of land.
Sarah Woolley from The Wrekin Housing Trust said: "This is a great way for local people to be involved in decisions that will affect and improve their neighbourhood. Residents have been telling the Trust that this piece of land is a problem and now we're in a position to do something about it, thanks to the support from Queenswood School, and funding from The Wrekin Housing Trust. All local residents are more than welcome to come along and share their ideas with us."
