Trust employees celebrate new qualifications
25 September 2008
Employees of The Wrekin Housing Trust are celebrating after achieving a range of new qualifications that will help provide an even better service to tenants.
The Trust holds Investors In People status and has a long history of helping its employees get back into education and learn new skills. This year a number of office based employees and trades people have spent their own time gaining qualifications, which will help develop their skills and the service for Trust customers.
The qualifications gained range from Masters degrees to HNCs in Building Studies as well as Advanced Craft Training. Employees attended local colleges and universities including TCAT and the University of Wolverhampton.
Housing Management Trainee Michelle Dixon Shea has just completed her Masters degree in Housing Studies. Michelle joined the Trust from the Child Support Agency and is enjoying her career in housing. Michelle said: "I think The Wrekin Housing Trust is unique in that it offers all employees the chance to gain new qualifications. I have found it really beneficial and it is good that the qualifications will help develop my skills and the services I provide to our tenants."
