Housing Trust makes donation to hospice
27 July 2008
The Wrekin Housing Trust has presented the Severn Hospice with a donation from its latest charity fundraising initiative.
At the recent Dawley Day the Trust held a sale of items that had been donated by employees. The total amount from the items sold was £70. The money raised from the sale will help the hospice continue to provide its services to people from around the region.
The Trust was one of the partner organisations at Dawley Day and shared a stand at the event with West Mercia Police and the Trust's West Area Group (WAG). Despite the bad weather the event was a success and had a strong community feel with a number of events for both young and old.
Kevin Diss from the Trust said: "We have a strong link with Severn Hospice and we host a number of events each year to raise money for them. Every little counts and we are always looking for new way to help local charities. Over recent years we have raised around £8000 for Severn Hospice and we hope to continue this in the future. "
