New homes close to Dawley centre
31 January 2008
Tenants have been handed the keys to their new homes in The Wrekin Housing Trust's latest new development in Dawley.
There was keen interest in the six new three-bedroom houses for rent when they were advertised on Choose Your Home, the Trust's choice-based lettings system.
The new development, named Emerald Terrace, is located in Lancaster Avenue in Dawley, only five minutes walk from the centre of Dawley, and a short bus ride away from Telford Town Centre.
The homes benefit from a number of features. They offer large back gardens, as well as parking spaces at the front and are equally spacious inside. Accommodation is arranged over three floors, with a large third bedroom situated on the third floor overlooking the back garden.
This is the latest in a growing number of new developments for The Wrekin Housing Trust as it works to provide more affordable housing in and around the Telford area.
Mark Thompson, the Trust's General Manager for the west area, said: "We're pleased that our latest new development is complete and that six families can start the new year afresh in brand new homes. They have been finished to an extremely high standard and have certainly proved popular choices on our choose Your Home system."
Adam Webb and Claire Pickering, two of the new residents, were over the moon to see their new home: "It will be superb for us. It's unbelievable that we've got such a great house. We've got a young child, and another on the way, and this is somewhere we can settle down and live as a family. It means a lot to us because it's not just a house, it's our new home."
Anyone wishing to find a home to rent should register on the Trust's Choose Your Home website by visiting www.chooseyourhome.org.uk.
