Winners of our latest Trust Talks competition
Thank you to everyone who took part in our Trust Talks Winter 2015 edition competitions; we had lots of keen entrants and it was tough competition. If you haven’t won this time, keep giving the competitions a go because next time it could be you! The next edition of Trust Talks will be out in June so keep a look out for our next challenge.
Those of you who were wondering if you’d chosen the correct answer; the missing word from our word search was ‘tinsel’. We had so many correct answers but our lucky winner is Mrs Shirley Smyth who was presented with the £50 Sainsbury’s voucher.
Shirley said: “I couldn’t believe it when you rang to tell me I’d won. It was a lovely surprise! You enter competitions and never think that you’ll be the winner! I’m really chuffed and really appreciate your generosity. I’m not sure what to spend it on yet, I’m still deciding what I could buy with it. I’m also a knitter – I’ve knitted twiddle mitts with a group of residents and we were featured in the Shropshire Star! I’ve knitted quite a few items for the Princess Royal Hospital as I just love making things and it’s even better when you know that something you’ve made is helping others. I really do love living here and I try to get involved with activities and stay busy.
We had lots of clever children who joined the dots on our cartoon penguin and coloured it in beautifully, however the winner of the craft set was 4 year old Devlin from Wellington.
Devlin’s favourite things include colouring, jumping and dinosaurs and he was so excited about winning that he woke his Mum, Kim Robson, up every morning at 6am asking when we were coming to visit him and award him the prize. Devlin is going to write a story with his Mummy and will use his new glitter pens and minions stickers to decorate it. He was over the moon when we complimented him on his colouring skills, saying: “That’s why you picked me to win! My Mummy helped me and told me what I needed to do and then I coloured it in.”
Well done to both of our winners and to all those that took part in the competitions.
